Description
LYNCHED AT LAW: The Insidious Hand of American Justice
Steeped in the American dream, I doubted the claim that there were many innocents in America’s prisons. However, my life was shattered when, without warning, I was maliciously targeted and trapped by a criminal agent of the government—Wendell Blount.
In the midst of the 9-11 national catastrophe, I was made to fight for my good name, not only against a criminal accusation but against the prejudice of an all-white Southern Mississippi jury.
I was convicted based on a simple argument made by the prosecution: “We’re not saying that he did it. We’re saying that if he could have done it, he would have.” Still reeling from the terrorist attacks, the jury pronounced me guilty of conspiracy to launder twelve million dollars, and I was sentenced to ten years in prison, three additional years of subjugation, along with the end of my life as I knew it.
On September 11, 2001, inside a tranquil Southern Mississippi courtroom,
I was Lynched at Law.
